The new ace of the Klinsmann Cup, Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), has thanked the fans for their support this year.

On March 23, Lee posted on his social media accounts, "The 2023 national soccer team matches are over.

Thanks to the support of our fans, we were able to perform well in Seoul and as far away as China," he wrote.

The South Korean men's national team, led by Jürgen Klinsmann, defeated Singapore 5-0 in the first leg of the second Asian qualifying round for the FIFA Confederations Cup North America 2026 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sept. 16, and won the second leg against China 3-0 on Sept.

With a goal in Singapore and an assist on Son Heung-min's (Tottenham Hotspur) header in China, Lee has recorded four attacking points (four goals and three assists) in four consecutive A-Match matches, solidifying himself as a key offensive resource for Klinsmann.

"I hope all the students who took the big test (SAT) and came to the stadium to watch us get a little bit of strength from us," Lee said, "We will try to come back in 2024 to give you a big boost. I wish you all the best for the rest of the year!" he concluded.
