Hanwha announced on the 20th that it has hired new coaches Kim Jae-gul and Park Jae-sang.
This is a reinforcement for the offense and infield. Kim Jae-gul will be in charge of the first team's operations and infield (third base), and Park Jae-sang will be in charge of the first team's outfield and infield (first base).
Coach Kim "Galsama" Jae-gul played for the Samsung Lions from 1995-2009 and has been coaching since 2010. During her playing days, she was known for her defense and baserunning specialties. Park played for the SK Wyverns (now the SSG Landers) from 2001 to 2017 before entering the coaching ranks in 2018. After coaching the Kiwoom Heroes from 2022 to 2023, he is now with Hanwha.
The Hanwha Eagles hope that Kim's expertise and experience in the fielding and baserunning areas, as well as Park Jae-sang's energy and communication skills, will help the team's performance.
On the same day, Hanwha decided to release seven players. They are Lee Jae-min, Jang Woong-jung, Chun Bo-woong, Lee Seok-je (pitchers), Won Hyuk-jae, Lee Jung-jae, and Ko Young-jae (outfielders).
